The ARCs, The book and the tiredness.
I’m the most disorganised person ever and that is never a good trait when you are an indie author. I know I missed my regular blog update, but mainly because the last week really kicked my rearend. First we had the ARC release – the majority of the ARC team getting the standard eBook butContinue reading “The ARCs, The book and the tiredness.”
Because it’s Wednesday
I will show you the book because it’s Wednesday, and I am supposed to write a post on Wednesday. There is a minor problem. I finished my 10h shift in ED and am tired as a dog. We were so understaffed that I barely had the time to go to the toilet. So I cameContinue reading “Because it’s Wednesday”
Divorce in the marketplace
With the upcoming release of Summer Veil and the end of the Season’s War series, we are planning some nice PR boxes for those of our Street Team who read, reviewed and lauded our books. I want to make it really lovely, and when we were walking around Truro Craft Fair today, I was engrossedContinue reading “Divorce in the marketplace”
Conditional 5-star book review
A virus got me, and I failed miserably to fight off the infection. Maybe it was a tough work week or attempting to do too many things at once, but my body gave up, and I was confined to bed with nothing else to do but read. Still, my brain didn’t want to cooperate, makingContinue reading “Conditional 5-star book review”
Sundowners – Bermuda Triangle of dementia
Yesterday’s shift was challenging in many ways, but mostly because we had a “Bermuda Triangle of sundowners”. If you never heard about sundowners, those are patients with dementia that suffer hyperactive nocturnal activity and personality changes as soon as the sun goes down. Seriously, it looks like a clip from Dr Jekyll’s/Mr Hyde’s situation. YouContinue reading “Sundowners – Bermuda Triangle of dementia”
Fight or flight or Teenagers
We are a happy “owners” of a 14 year old daughter who as of this year discovered the glory of looking pretty and attracting pretty teenage boys. Normal thing you say. Well unless you have to live with one obsessed with her hair. On Friday her school was taking her class to the county fair,Continue reading “Fight or flight or Teenagers”
Modern Barbarian
I always knew Mark had a warrior inside him. As a young man, he was very active in medieval reenactment, we have a sword collection scattered all over the house, but recently, he took an active role in home defence, and I must admit I underestimated how ferocious he is. It all started with aContinue reading “Modern Barbarian”
Accidentally drunk
We were invited to the wedding. A colleague from work was getting married, and as a bunch of nut job doctors, we were invited to the evening party. I was thrilled, as it is lovely to put on some nice dress and make up and just let yourself go every now and again. I wasContinue reading “Accidentally drunk”
Creative Differences
Yesterday Mark and I had a big shouting match about a scene. I can’t tell you much because there would be too many spoilers, but let me ask you a question. If you doing a sad, sweet goodbye, would you ever use a person’s full name? I wouldn’t, but Mar editing Summer Veil insists thatContinue reading “Creative Differences”
