As you all know, I use this blog mainly to talk about books and, on occasion, give you a glimpse into our personal lives. I was a successful blogger when I lived in Poland, writing mainly about my work in a comedic manner, and I wanted to continue this trend here. However, as I started to write books, the subjects evolved into something more book-related.
I was not as successful with it as I was in Poland, but it was at different times, on different topics and photo/video social media has marginalised actual blogging.
Until I posted about our cheese war, and my views grew exponentially. Now, here is the caveat. I want to talk about my books, my ideas, characters, and all that jazz, but it seems the best results I get are when I publish nutty stories from my life. There are plenty of those, so I don’t think I would ever run out of topics, especially since my conversations with Mark provide an endless source of entertainment.
Just like today, when I was checking a patient’s test results and suddenly blurted out.
‘I think I’m a psychopath,’
And my ever-helpful man answered immediately. ‘Yes, you are,’ before adding, ‘What prompted this?’
It was difficult to explain to him that I just recalled almost everyone being touched by a particular case except me. I was so hyper-focused on my work that I couldn’t process emotions; it’s my coping mechanism for a highly emotive job. Yet his instant agreement made me roll my eyes, and we burst into laughter.
So, instead of constantly talking about my books, I will try to talk more about the proverbial ‘cheese’ because I love interacting with my readers and would like to attract you to my blog a little bit more.
