I should write but I’m working rally hard to be evil stepmother

I surely never asked for this, but Mark came with the package, and one day, I unexpectedly became a stepmother.

I have to tell you, I absolutely suck in it.

In every fairytale stepmother is an evil witch that makes the child’s life miserable, and I truly aspire to this pinnacle of family relations, but as you can see in the picture, I’m failing.

Yes, I nag this monkey to clean her room and do her homework. I dish the punishments with due diligence, limiting time on the phone and computer. I even yell from time to time, although yelling is not my thing but you do what you have to do to get the title.

My stepdaughter clearly didn’t get the memo, and instead of behaving in an appropriate way and sulking in her room, she is coming downstairs for quality time. I mean, there is failing, and there is me, a total, colossal failure in reaching my ‘evil stepmother’ goal.

Instead of sitting in seclusion and writing Fangs and Family, I was forced to watch Mr Beast doing some idiotic things on YouTube because a teenage brat wanted a cuddle.

What am I doing wrong? Any advice is welcome. I even seriously thought of removing all her chocolate stash from her room. Do you think she will understand that?
