I took a scary step with my current work in progress.
I contacted the editor who works for Ilona Andrews, Nalini Sigh, and Jeaniene Frost and asked her if she would consider doing a developmental edit on my current work in progress. After two days, I got a response—she agreed to take my manuscript.
That means I can give you the release date for the book, and it will be 01/September/2024.
I know it feels like a long time, but I have my reasons. First, I want to develop as an author, and I feel this is a step in the right direction. I found my voice, and now I need to polish it. I could churn out a release every three months, but I want to create unique, fascinating stories for my readers and with such an approach, quality matters more than a fast release.
The second reason is much simpler—I need a bit more time to plan the release campaign, write the second book on this duology, take marketing classes and maybe, somewhere between being a doctor and being a writer, find time to live life.
So, I hope you will stay with me and forgive me for the longer release schedule than what I normally do. I’m trying to get better at what I do, and although I can’t give you any guarantees, I will do my best; the wait was worth it.
